Pre – trip information and accommodations 


Upon booking you will be issued with the agreed itinerary, a standard contract, the terms and conditions as well as an indemnity form. The contract is to be signed and returned immediately along with the slip/copy of the deposit transfer. The indemnity form is to be signed upon your arrival in Tanzania.

All payments are to be made, including the initial deposit, by direct deposit into the company bank account. Upon confirmation of funds being received, you will be issued with a receipt and re-issued with the updated invoice for your referral. 

All hotels, lodges and camps that TAPAC Safaris are of the highest quality, all chosen closely to suit your specific itinerary. In local villages, we use the best accommodation available.  Most accommodations have private amenities, swimming pools and restaurants/bars; internet among other facilities.

The campsites indicated in the Mt Kilimanjaro itineraries are subject to change based on, at times, unpredictable mountain weather conditions.  


- All accommodation and meals as stated on the itinerary
- All transfers, game drives as stated on the itinerary
- All park fees, entrances fees, camping fees, conservation fees, government fees etc
- English, French, German, Norwegian or Swedish speaking guide 

- Tips and gratuities (highly recommended to give)
- Items of personal nature
- All meals not stated on the itinerary
- Optional activities
- Snacks and drinks at the hotel/lodge  

Booking information & conditions  

For a reservation to be held on any itinerary/program, a deposit of 20% of the full amount is required upon confirmation of your trip. You will receive both your contract as well as your invoice accordingly.


The remaining balance is due within 45 days prior to arrival in Tanzania.

Cancellation and Refunding
In case of an emergency and you are forced to cancel your trip, your money will be returned with a small cancellation fee charged by TAPAC Safaris, plus any additional non-refundable bookings and payments already done to other parties such as hotel/lodges and local operators.

Cancellation fees
- 60 days prior to arrival          -    $ 100,-
- 30 – 59 days prior to arrival      -    $ 300,-
- 15 – 29 days prior to arrival     -    $ 600,-
- 14 days or less to arrival       -    100% of full price (no refunds) 

No partial refunds for unused parts of the safari are available. 

Cancellation fees are based on the date in which TAPAC Safaris receives a written notification about your cancellation. 


Deposit payments are not refundable.

TAPAC Safaris are not responsible for any delays or cancellation in international and/or domestic flights prior, during or after your trip, and are therefore not responsible for loss of accommodation and/or activity as cause of this.  

For safaris, no medical certificate or Doctor’s statements are necessary, but good physical and mental health is recommended.

You might travel in remote and/or rugged areas, away from any medical attention and facilities.

A Doctor’s statement is required before trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru or Oldonyo Lengai. 

It is essential that TAPAC Safaris know all important medical conditions which might be affected by incidents such as vigorous activity, heat, sunstroke, cold, high altitude, other natural phenomenon, or particular foods prior to you arriving in Tanzania. 

TAPAC Safaris assumes no liability for medical care or for special dietary requirements. 

TAPAC Safaris works closely with AMREF’s Flying Doctors Society of Africa and every client of TAPAC Safaris automatically receives a temporary membership. This membership provides free emergency evacuation from all areas of Tanzania to medical facilities in Nairobi, Kenya. www.amref.org
